Our story

Eco2u NW brings extensive renewable energy experience to homes and businesses across the North West. Between them, our installers have completed over 130 domestic and commercial systems. We started with a straightforward aim: to make clean, affordable energy genuinely achievable for every homeowner, and to install it properly the first time.

Our team has delivered domestic and commercial installations across a wide range of properties, family homes, churches, council housing, care homes and working farms. Every installation is completed by our own MCS-certified teams, so every home gets the same expertise, attention to detail and professional standards as our largest commercial projects.

We've built our reputation on quality workmanship, honest pricing and looking after people long after the scaffolding comes down. Every customer gets direct access to our Installation Manager and Lead Technician throughout the process, a complete handover pack on completion, and a free 24-month service visit as standard.

We only fit equipment we would happily put on our own homes. We install and support the industry's leading solar and battery manufacturers, including LONGi, AIKO, Hanchu, Fox ESS, Sigenergy, EcoFlow, Anker and Canadian Solar, so your system is specified around what your property actually needs, not whatever a company happens to have in the van that week.

Microgeneration Certification Scheme

The UK's quality mark for solar PV and battery storage installation

MCS is the UK's standards and certification scheme for low-carbon technology, solar PV, battery storage, heat pumps and more. Being MCS certified means Eco2u NW has been independently assessed, and is re-assessed every year, against the scheme's installation standards. Our certification is issued and audited through NAPIT, which is why our MCS number carries the NAP prefix.

What this means for you

Your system is designed and installed to a nationally recognised standard, you receive an MCS certificate once it's commissioned, and you're eligible to be paid for the power you export. We register the installation for you, it's included in your price.

Government-authorised competent person scheme for electrical work

NAPIT is one of the UK's largest government-authorised bodies for electrical contractors and runs a Competent Person Scheme under the Building Regulations. As a NAPIT approved installer, Eco2u NW can self-certify that its electrical work complies with Part P and notify it to your local authority on your behalf. NAPIT is also the body that assesses and issues our MCS certification.

What this means for you

The wiring, consumer unit work and grid connection are done safely and legally, and you get the paperwork to prove it, which matters when you sell the house or make an insurance claim.

Consumer protection for renewable energy customers, approved by Trading Standards

HIES is a consumer protection scheme for the home energy sector, approved under the Chartered Trading Standards Institute's Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. As HIES members we sign up to a code of practice covering how we sell, quote, contract, take deposits and look after you afterwards, and your deposit and our workmanship guarantee are protected through the scheme.
