What we look for
Not every site qualifies — the funder is committing capital for twenty-five years, so a few things need to line up.
- A commercial premises with a suitable, structurally sound roof
- A meaningful daytime electricity consumption to soak up generation
- A business with a reasonable credit position — the funder is investing for 25 years
- A lease or ownership long enough to support the agreement term

What actually is a PPA?
A Power Purchase Agreement. A funder — in our case Green Energi — pays for, installs, insures and maintains a solar system on your roof. You don't buy the equipment; you buy the electricity it produces, at a fixed rate that's typically well below what you pay the grid for daytime power.

What does it cost us up front?
Nothing. That's the point of the structure. The funder carries the capital cost and the maintenance liability for the full term, and recovers it through the tariff you pay for the power you use.

What happens at the end of the 25 years?
The system is gifted to your business. From that point the generation is free — you own the asset outright, with a good number of years of panel life still ahead of it.

What if we use less power than the system makes?
Surplus is exported. The modelling we do at the assessment stage sizes the array against your actual consumption profile, so the system is built to match your load rather than to fill every square metre of roof.

Is this available to homeowners?
No — the PPA route is business-to-business only. For homes, our solar and battery packages are the right path, and those you own outright from day one.
