Boiler installation & replacement

A new boiler, fitted properly.

Your boiler is the heart of your home, and when it starts letting you down a replacement is often cheaper than keeping it going. Our Gas Safe registered engineers will advise on the right boiler for your home, give you a clear, itemised quote, and fit it with the least disruption possible.

Is it time for a new boiler?

Not every problem needs a replacement. If yours shows these signs, it is worth a conversation.

It keeps breaking down

Repeated call-outs add up fast, and an old boiler only gets less reliable.

Your bills keep climbing

An older boiler burns more gas for the same warmth. A modern one wastes far less of it.

Hot water is hit and miss

Slow to heat, lukewarm, or running out mid-shower are all signs it is struggling.

Parts are getting scarce

Once a model is old enough, a repair can mean weeks waiting for a part, or none at all.

What your installation includes

The cost of a new boiler depends on the type and size you need and what the job involves. Your quote is free, itemised and sent digitally, with nothing hidden.

  • A full consultation to choose the right boiler for your home and your hot water use
  • A free, itemised quote, booked in at a time that suits you
  • Removal and responsible disposal of your old boiler
  • Any pipework, flue or gas supply changes the job needs
  • Smart controls or a thermostat suited to the new boiler
  • Commissioning, gas safety checks and a walk-through of how to use it
  • Building Control notification and your compliance certificate
  • Manufacturer warranty registered for you

How it works

01

Tell us what you have

The make and age of your current boiler, how many bedrooms and bathrooms, and what is prompting the change. A few photos save a visit.

02

We recommend and quote

Our engineer advises on the right type and size of boiler, then sends a clear, itemised quote with no hidden costs.

03

Installation day

A straight swap usually takes one to two days. We keep disruption down and leave the space clean.

04

Handover and paperwork

We commission and test the boiler, show you how to use it, register the warranty and notify Building Control.

Moving your boiler

Want it somewhere else? We will look at where it can go, plan the route for the gas, water and flue, and fit the new pipework neatly. A move is often a good chance to free up a cupboard.

Smart controls

New boilers must be fitted with suitable controls, and a smart thermostat is usually the best choice. Control your heating from your phone, heat only the rooms you use, and cut the gas you burn.

Boiler questions, answered

How do I know if I need a new boiler?

The usual signs are frequent breakdowns, rising bills for the same comfort, slow or unreliable hot water, and a boiler old enough that parts are getting hard to find. Tell us the make and age and what it is doing, and we will tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.

Are your engineers Gas Safe registered?

Yes. Eco 2u NW Ltd is on the Gas Safe Register, registration number 985037. Every engineer carries a Gas Safe ID card you are welcome to check, and you can look us up on the public register before we arrive.

How long does a boiler installation take?

A straight swap usually takes one to two days. Moving the boiler, converting the system type or adding radiators can take longer, and we will give you a clear timeline with your quote.

What does your quote include?

The boiler, the parts, the labour, any pipework or flue changes the job needs, the controls, removal and disposal of the old boiler, and the Building Control notification. It is itemised, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.

Will I need to upgrade my gas supply?

Sometimes. A more powerful combi can need a wider gas pipe than the old boiler had. We check this on the survey and include it in the quote if it is needed, so it is never a surprise on the day.

Can you move my boiler to a different place?

Yes. We will look at where it can go, plan the route for the gas, water and flue, and include the new pipework in the quote. Moving it is often a good chance to free up a cupboard.

Do you remove the old boiler?

Yes. We safely disconnect it, take it away and dispose of it responsibly. You are not left with anything to deal with.

Does a new boiler come with a warranty?

Yes. Every new boiler carries the manufacturer's warranty, and the length depends on the make and model. We will tell you the exact terms for the boilers we quote and register the warranty for you, which keeping it valid depends on.

Do I need smart controls?

New boilers must be fitted with suitable controls, and a smart thermostat is usually the best choice. It lets you control the heating from your phone and helps cut the gas you use.

Can a new boiler work alongside solar and a battery?

They do different jobs and sit happily together: solar and storage cut what you pay for electricity, the boiler handles heating and hot water. If you are considering both, it is worth quoting them together so nothing gets done twice.
